| On the face of it , good deals. In actual fact the software I received from them through the Tiscali Members Rewards scheme were either cut down lite versions (no mention of this in the description) or totally different from the product you order. All the software on their site gives the impression that it is a boxed unit but the reality is that you get a cd in a plastc sleeve inside an ordinary envelope and for this they charge £2.99! When you do have a query and email them you get a standard email telling that "PLEASE NOTE:- Due to the large volume of GENERAL queries received by our Customer Services Agents relating to our popular loyalty programmes, it is possible that in some instances we may not be able to send you a personal reply to your e-mail. However, we would request that customers call us directly on the numbers below and our advisors will be more than happy to deal with your query/issues immediately. If we are unable to reply to your email within the next 3 working days, or you would like to discuss your query sooner then please feel free contact us for assistance on any of the following:-". There then follows the choice of either a phone or fax number - both of them 0870 numbers! If you have a query over goods that you have bought (even if, technically, they are free) why should you pay an arm and a leg being put on hold for an eternity at 0870 rates. The fact that they even have a standard email admitting to a large number of GENERAL enquiries says a lot about this company. 2 old adages come to mind:- If it looks too good to be true ............................, and you get owt for nowt. Definitely a company to steer well clear of. |
